As an Assistant Travel Designer, you will work closely with the company's Owner and Director of Travel Design, Sarah Fazendin, to manage all Videre Travel trips from the time of booking through return from travel. Successful Travel Designers have professional or personal experience with luxury travel, are very organized, and are able to learn new technologies quickly.

 

Also, from time to time, you will be able to travel to experience our most popular destinations, meet our local guides, and inspect hotels and resorts.

Specific Responsibilities of Assistant Travel Designer:

  • Directly communicate with clients to finalize itinerary details, prepare clients to travel, confirm all concierge services, invoice and document services internally, present confirmations to the client, book travel insurance and other ad hoc travel services. 

  • Regularly quote and book hotels, flights, and travel insurance

  • Maintain excellent and fluid client communication via email, phone, and in some cases in-person meetings

  • Utilize itinerary building software to create beautiful itineraries for presentation to clients

  • Work with local teams or hotel concierge staff to confirm dining and other ad hoc services

  • Manage client invoicing and payments

  • Engaging with clients to build a strong rapport and deliver excellent customer care before, during and after travel

 

Experience/Qualities:

  • Comfortable working with high-net worth individuals

  • Demonstrated excellence in proactive customer service

  • Impeccable attention to detail

  • Passion for travel and new experiences and ability to connect with clients who share this passion 

  • Comfortable working with international partners, non-native English speakers in different time zones

  • Able to quickly learn and embrace new technologies   

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

 

Compensation:

Compensation starts at $30 per hour. This is a part-time position, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time Travel Designer role. 

 

This position requires 20 hours per week, including 4 hours per day Monday - Friday. Exact hours and specific schedule is flexible anytime between the hours of 6am and 5pm MST, but would prefer to set a regular schedule for the same 4 hours per day Monday - Friday.

Opportunities for hosted travel throughout the year - exact dates and destinations will vary year to year.

 

Location:

Videre Travel is headquartered in Denver, CO, however this Assistant Travel Designer position can be virtual. For a virtual position, travel to Denver a few times a year will be required.
