Los Cabos Mexico, at the tip of Baja California Sur, is always a great idea for a fun family beach getaway. And for 2022, we're adding in more adventure than ever!
Check out our sample itinerary here - a perfect Spring Break family getaway that combines wildlife adventure and beach relaxation. Start off with marine wildlife viewing at a luxury tented camp on the remote coastline of Baja California Sur and wrap up in one of the many resorts in Los Cabos.
As always, everything can be completely customized to meet the needs and interests of your family.
Marine Wildlife and the San Ignacio Lagoon
San Ignacio is a legendary lagoon on the Pacific coast of Baja Mexico, where gray whales finish an 11,000 mile migration from the Bering Sea and Alaska to mate and calve each year.
These whales are uniquely curious and interactive, allowing for close-up, intimate encounters with these gentle giants and their newborn calves. Late March and early April is the perfect time to experience the gray whales, making it a perfect option for a family Spring Break adventure!
Travel north up the remote coastline by charter flight from Cabo San Lucas, landing on an airstrip right at the beach camp on the shore of the San Ignacio Lagoon. You'll be greeted with a glass of champagne and then whisked straight out for your first whale watching encounter.
Luxury Tented Camp
Sleep in Baja Mexico’s most remote, untouched region in comfort and luxury. The tents are windproof, insulated and heated to withstand whatever weather Mother Nature presents.
Enjoy comfy beds with fine linens and plush pillows, as well as an ensuite bathroom with hot and cold running water, and separate sitting area with a couch, chairs, and dresser – perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure.
The food is also spectacular, a modern twist on Mexican specialities, and includes a fine selection of wine, craft beer, tequila, single malt scotches.
This 3-night experience includes round trip charter flight from Los Cabos, all meals, drinks, accommodations ... and of course as much guided whale and wildlife viewing you can fit it!
The Best of Los Cabos for a Family Spring Break
Wrap up an exciting week with a few relaxing nights back in Los Cabos. Kids always love the freedom an entertainment of a great all inclusive resort, but of course there are plenty of options in Los Cabos where you can relax poolside after your days of adventure in San Ignacio.
While in Cabo, it's always a good idea to head out on a boat to explore Land's End and don't miss lunch at Flora Farms!
