Driving at night through a private Namibian game reserve, we rounded a curve and our headlights landed on… giraffe kneecaps. Lots and lots of kneecaps, just ten feet from our truck! The kids were squealing in the back seat, my husband had a huge grin on his face, and I laughed so hard I had tears streaming down my cheeks.
